When it comes to filling my closet, I’m a big fan of pieces that are versatile. When I buy a piece of clothing, I like to think of two or three different ways I could wear it so I know that it will be worn more than once. This look today is filled with versatile fall pieces (some can even be worn year round).
I got this sweater from Madewell and love how versatile it is. It is light enough that you can wear it when it’s supposed to be fall weather but the temperature is not agreeing with you (Atlanta for the past four weeks). This has been an unusually warm fall, but as I mentioned in this post, I insist on dressing to the season even if the temps aren’t cooperating. When it finally cools down, this sweater could be worn with a scarf and jeans and boots. The skirt (which is on sale, linked below) is very light and breezy and could even be worn with a white tank top in the spring or summer. The dark colors make it appropriate for fall but its weight makes it a smart choice for girls in the south (Florida girls could wear this outfit all winter). If you live up north and are experiencing colder weather, I think tights would be really cute with this skirt too.
Lastly, I need to talk about these boots. I. LOVE. THESE. BOOTS. I love them so much I bought them in two colors (you’ll be seeing the gray pair on the blog next week). I’ve been searching for a pair of awesome OTK boots for a while but couldn’t find any I loved until I found these. These have a heel but are so comfortable and are easy to put on because there’s a zipper right by the heel. They are currently on sale at Nordstrom so if you want a pair, hurry and grab them now!
