Even though I love shopping and fashion, I sometimes struggle with taking fashion risks. It probably has something to do with my Type A personality, but once I find a color or style or even brand I love, it’s very hard to tear me away from it. I think it’s easy to stick with what we are comfortable with and love (not only in fashion, but in other aspects of our lives too). It took me forever to branch out from my favorite foods and try new ones and I know I’m not the only one to order the same thing over and over again at a restaurant.
Over the years I’ve realized that my favorite outfits usually come from me taking a fashion risk. I made a new rule for myself that I should always try something before dismissing it.
When I started seeing women out wearing jumpsuits, I loved them but never thought I would be wearing one. I love rompers but making the “jump” to jumpsuits wasn’t in my comfort zone. I think I assumed I wouldn’t be able to find one that fit me since I am so tall. Then one day I was shopping in Dillard’s and saw this BCBG Generation jumpsuit on sale for $35 DOLLARS! My love of sales quickly overcame my hesitation of jumpsuits. I tried it on and immediately fell in love. It is now one of my favorite pieces in my closet.
This jumpsuit is the perfect option to wear to a Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve party. I also paired it with a fur vest and a belt to give it a completely different look. I can’t tell which one I like more. This jumpsuit was the steal of the century and I unfortunately couldn’t find the same jumpsuit for the same price but have linked similar ones in similar price ranges below!
