Two Ways: Boyfriend Jeans

I’m very excited to share my new series with you all – “Two Ways Tuesday”. I love fashion but I also try to be conscious of how I spend my money. When I am interested in buying a piece of clothing, I usually try and think of multiple ways I could wear it before bringing it to the cash register. I don’t want to buy something for my closet that isn’t versatile. When I think of post ideas for the blog, I try to think of ways to be helpful to others or think about what I would want to read. That is how I thought of “Two Ways Tuesdays” where I can show you two different ways to wear a piece of clothing. First up: boyfriend jeans.

I struggle the most with shopping for jeans. I always have a hard time finding the perfect fit. When I find a pair of jeans I love, I wear them into the ground. I knew I wanted a pair of boyfriend jeans so I grabbed a bunch of different colors and sizes from Nordstrom and started trying them on. While I wanted a baggier look, some of them were WAY too baggy. When I found this pair, I could not buy them fast enough. They provide comfort and style with just the right amount of bagginess.

My first look is more casual with this amazing sweater from Loft and these New Balance shoes from their J Crew line. I love the color of the shoes and how they look like New Balance and J. Crew had a baby. This is the perfect travel outfit and would be very comfortable for walking around and exploring a new city. Since the outfit is pretty neutral, I added these pink earrings from Bauble Bar and this BP purse to add some color.

My second look is more dressy for a night out. This outfit is perfect for date night or for going out with the girls. I think a black leather jacket would look really great with this outfit if you live somewhere that’s colder! The gold clutch, shiny tank, and heels dress up the jeans and allow them to transition from a casual daytime look to a fun nighttime look.
