I was recently given the opportunity to work with Framebridge to fill an empty wall in my home with two pieces of art and wanted to share my experience with you!
When T and I moved into this apartment, I was so excited to decorate. I’m an introvert and a homebody, so my home is where I relax and recharge. I want my home to be a peaceful and comfortable place where I’m surrounded by things that make me happy.
We have many things in our room that hold a special meaning and make T and I happy. From my mom’s antique tea cart that we use as a bar cart (pictured above) to a painting that we got as a wedding present from T’s Godparents, to glass alpacas my brother got me in Patagonia. T and I have been very intentional about picking out each piece of furniture and decor in our home.
We moved into this apartment back in April and until recently, I was happy with every part of our apartment except for a big empty space above our tv. T and I watch tv together in the evenings so that space would be something we looked at very often. When Framebridge reached out, I knew exactly what I wanted in that space.
T and I both grew up in Florida and although we LOVE Atlanta and don’t plan on leaving anytime soon, we both talk about how we miss the water. We both grew up a short drive away from the ocean and would go to the beach several times a month. I wanted two pieces of art that merged our lives in Florida to our life here in Atlanta.
I found these two digital downloads on Etsy (combined they cost less than $10). One was of the Atlanta skyline and one was an abstract design of a wave. I uploaded them directly to the Framebridge website, which was very convenient! I picked the frames I wanted (I chose white to brighten up the room since we have a dark grey couch) and I was able to see what the picture would look like in the frame.
I submitted my order and less than a week later, my beautiful frames arrived and were ready to go up! I finally feel like our apartment is complete and I love looking at a reminder of our home (now) and also our home where we grew up.
