Thank you to Seagram’s Escapes for sponsoring this post.
This Sunday I attended a Christmas Cookie Competition at my blogger friend, Jenna’s, house. I had been to cookie swaps in the past but had never been to a Christmas cookie competition so I was very excited! I was looking forward to seeing my blogger friends and pigging out on Christmas cookies.
Christmas Cookie Competition with Seagram’s Escapes
When deciding what kind of Christmas cookie I would make, I went on Pinterest (duh) and typed in “cute EASY Christmas cookies” and these fudge peppermint cookies were the first recipe that came up! If you are short on time and want someone cute and delicious, definitely try these out (they only have four ingredients). The smelled delicious and after I let T try one, he kept trying to sneak more from the tray!
I arrived with my cookies in one hand and Seagram’s Escapes in the other. Seagram’s Escapes are one of my favorite drinks and I knew the girl’s would love them too! I brought all six flavors so the girls could choose which one they wanted to go with their cookies. All six flavors are delicious, but “Blueberry Acai Lemonade” and “Strawberry Daiquiri” are my absolute favorites! The Seagram’s Escapes were such a refreshing way to wash down all the delicious cookies!
Jenna had a fire going, Christmas music playing, and delicious crostini’s for us to snack on! Once all the girls arrived, we each filled our plates with cookies and started the (very serious) task of cookie judging. We judged the cookies based on “most creative” “most festive” “most delicious” “best looking” and “best all around cookie”. Jenna had numbered each plate of cookies so no one knew who had brought what!
After the votes were tallied, Jenna presented the “Golden Wisk Awards” to the winners. My cookies won “most festive” because of the candy cane kiss on top! After the awards, we got to mingle, and fill up a to-go box with cookies to take home (T was VERY happy with the to-go box).
I loved my experience at my first Christmas cookie competition and can’t wait to participate in one (or even host one) next year! There’s really nothing better than spending time with friends, eating cookies, and drinking yummy drinks during the holidays!
