Let me start off by saying I’m so excited to post my first installment of my Atlanta travel guides. I’ve now officially been living in Atlanta for over a year. I love the big city feel with a touch of southern charm while also having amazing hiking trails, mountains, and lakes just a short drive away. Since T and I don’t know how long we will be living here, we try and take advantage of everything the city has to offer. Instead of doing one long Atlanta travel guide, I’ll be dividing the city into geographical sections and will be covering Downtown Atlanta first. Read More
When my brother was accepted into the United States Naval Academy, I was very excited. The Naval Academy has always been his dream and I was so proud of him for accomplishing his goal. His acceptance into the Naval Academy also meant I would get to visit him a few times a year in one of the cutest towns in America – Annapolis. Annapolis is the capitol of Maryland and looks like it just jumped from the pages of a storybook. The town is nestled at the mouth of the Severn River that flows into the Chesapeake Bay. In downtown Annapolis, you are greeted with sailboats, amazing shopping, unique restaurants and streets lined with colorful row houses. My brother is now a senior (or Firstie) at the Naval Academy and it is bittersweet to see him getting ready to graduate. For those of you who want to visit, I put together a list of my favorite places to stay and eat as well as my favorite things to do in Annapolis;
T and I spent our long Labor Day weekend in Philadelphia, PA. We were there to celebrate our friends’ wedding (and T’s birthday) and were excited to explore this beautiful city and catch up with some friends along the way. Before leaving, I researched the city and made sure to jot down the very best food and sights Philly had to offer. I usually do my research on Yelp or TripAdvisor and create an itinerary for each day we are traveling (I know, Type A to the max). Sometimes, my itinerary goes out the window (cue T), but other times we use it and it’s a nice tool to have. Here is our itinerary with hopes that it might be useful to you when you are visiting Philadelphia!
