Earlier this month, I got to work on a New Year’s styled shoot with a group of amazing ladies. We did the shoot at The Corner District, a beautiful event space in Ball Ground, GA. The two women who run this venue, Debbie and Ivy, are two of the nicest people and once I met them, I understood why their venue is so popular. Debbie and Ivy put on amazing events at the Corner District and organized an adorable New Year’s day themed girl’s party for the styled shoot.

Jumpsuit – Taking Fashion Risks
Even though I love shopping and fashion, I sometimes struggle with taking fashion risks. It probably has something to do with my Type A personality, but once I find a color or style or even brand I love, it’s very hard to tear me away from it. I think it’s easy to stick with what we are comfortable with and love (not only in fashion, but in other aspects of our lives too). It took me forever to branch out from my favorite foods and try new ones and I know I’m not the only one to order the same thing over and over again at a restaurant.
Our Christmas Cards
While people love getting Christmas cards, they seem to be getting less popular year after year. I think it is because social media tends to document our lives in real time so it might seem redundant to send cards. Traditionally, Christmas cards are sent to update friends and family on the past year. Now, we have Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram so friends and family are able to see real time updates of our lives. Regardless, I hope sending Christmas cards is not a lost art. I love receiving them and I am so excited to send them for the first time this year.
